USSA believes that workforce development is critical to the economic future of our State. We believe that the cornerstone of workforce development is Oklahoma’s PreK-12 Public Schools. We look forward to working with the legislature and executive branch of state government to make legislative and policy changes that will allow our students to be prepared for the work opportunities that will exist for them when they complete their post-secondary education.

The United Suburban Schools Association (USSA) was founded in 1991 to serve school districts in the state that were not represented by a national urban school association and who were not rural. The association represents large districts and/or districts located near Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Typically, these are fast growing districts, but not always. Some districts find themselves as a large district among smaller communities and have unique needs for the staff and students they serve.
